I'm your outgoing, adventure-loving elopement and wedding photographer, and I can't wait to get to know you and tell your story. We'll probably get along if you feel alive exploring new places, getting outdoors, and having fun with your partner!
Spend your wedding day amongst ancient trees dripping with moss, hike over burbling brooks deep in the forest brimming with life, and say your vows in front of a roaring waterfall: this is the reality when you elope in Pacific Rim National Park on Vancouver Island with me as your elopement photographer.
The morning for this romantic Vancouver Island elopement began with an early 3:30am wake up call, but the pitter patter of rain outside our windows made us all the more eager to get out into the forest.
Our first stop was a romantic dock where the early-morning fog set the mood – we were feeling ALL the Twilight vibes! After some coffee to warm themselves up on the chilly morning, they had a moment to themselves to just soak it all up: in just a couple hours they were going to go from engaged to married!
After a relaxing hour exploring the shore and taking it all in, our hike began into the awe-inspiring Vancouver Island temperate rainforest of Pacific Rim. With huge and ancient trees, cushiony moss hanging from every branch, and sprawling green as far as the eye could see, it was utterly otherworldly.
Trust me when I say my mouth was agape in awe and I was doing my very best to imprint every single tree into my memory forever. This honestly is one of THE MOST stunning places on earth. Not only that, but it smelt incredible: the air filled with the scent of crisp rain, rich soil, and life blooming from every branch.
Along the hike to our final destination, we stopped at a couple rivers for the soon-to-be newlyweds to explore and take in all the scenery. With waterproof hiking shoes, a bustle for her dress, and a family of curious ducks watching, they were good to go!
Hiking along log bridges and up into the trees, the morning was quiet and magical in a way only the rainforest can be. I can’t imagine a better trek leading up to saying your vows.
Finally, we reached the waterfall, and the couple took the lead down to the base to say their vows to each other. There were tears, there were laughs, and the spray from the waterfall made for a real Notebook-worthy kiss to celebrate their marriage!
The hike back to our cars was charged with so much excitement and electricity – laughing and pointing out huge trees and cool mosses, taking photos hugging massive redwoods, skipping over puddles (and almost falling on our asses but not caring one bit), all making for the best memories.
If you’re looking for the perfect place for a fairytale elopement, look no further than a Pacific Rim National Park elopement – it truly has it all.
I’d love to be your guide and plan the adventurous Vancouver Island elopement perfect for YOU🫶
