Picture this: you wake up to the light pitter of rain on the roof of your wooden cabin, snuggled up close to your fiance, who you'll be marrying in just a few short hours.
You greet your elopement photographer at the door before sunrise (me!), and spend the morning of your wedding day getting ready with your lover.
From there, you head out with a bag packed for a day of adventure, and make your way to the misty morning lake, surrounded by snow-capped mountains and tall pine trees. You privately say your vows with the love of your life on a romantic wooden dock overlooking the iconic views of Banff. Just like that: you're married.
With the sun just peeking over the horizon, you still have your entire elopement day to yourselves. Choose to spend a relaxing day lounging in the sun by Lake Louise, or for the adventure seekers, enjoy a challenging yet rewarding hike to a summit, offering you views of the entire Banff National Park and rocky mountains as you enjoy your first day married.
The magic of your elopement day is that it can look however you want: let's create your dream wedding day together

Eloping isn't the taboo it used to be. Modern elopements are about creating an intentional experience with you and your partner, and not worrying about others' opinions or expectations. Eloping may be for you if you don't resonate with large venues and crowds: you feel more alive outdoors and want to commit to your lover in a place you feel alive. It may be for you if you want a private marriage ceremony to keep you focused on your partner. It might be for you if you want to create an entire experience out of your wedding, instead of a big party. And if you still aren't convinced, I'm here to help you decide the best way to celebrate your marriage :) This is about YOU, no one else
Why should we elope? We can't decide if it's for us
Absolutely!! I'm lucky enough that I've photographed hundreds of weddings and elopements, so I am here to help with it all! In addition to comprehensive Zoom planning calls, I send out my 36 page Elopement Planning Guide that goes over every question you have, from timelines to locations, to how to figure out who to invite and vendor recommendations. I also send out a detailed Wedding Planning Questionnaire and a Timeline Creation Questionnaire so I can draft up a photography timeline for your big day
I have no idea how to elope - do you help with planning?
Nope! Elopements aren't the taboo 'run away to the courthouse and get hitched in secret' that they were 30 years ago. An elopement is any intentional and intimate wedding day that's unique to you and your lover. Many couples will bring a couple loved ones with them as witnesses to say their vows, or have an intimate gathering of loved ones for part of their elopement day. My elopement packages allow up to 20 guests to celebrate your wedding day
Does an elopement have to be just me and my fiance?
I'll be brutally honest: your family's opinions shouldn't dictate how you get married. One of the reasons so many of my couples choose to elope is so that they can escape overwhelming or contradicting opinions from family members for the wedding planning. That said, your family loves you and wants you to be happy, and should respect your choice to have an intentional elopement with your lover. Plus, you can still have an intimate elopement ceremony with your closest loved ones
What about my family? Won't eloping cause drama?
Of course! In your initial elopement inquiry, please let me know a general location you have in mind, or any ideas you have. This could be as broad as Vancouver Island, or the Rockies, or more specific like Banff National Park. Within all those spots, I know ALL the best places for you to explore and share your vows. If you don't have anything in specific, just let me know the vibe like 'by the ocean' or 'alpine lake' and I'll send you all my favourite places :)
How do we pick the location? Do you help with that?
Yes, and no. I take the lead when it comes to prompting you for your photos, and make sure to always give you direction to look and feel good. That said, my style is very documentary heavy and I focus on authentic moments. This means I'll do more directing like a movie than posing you. I'll have you go on a romantic walk on the beach and tell each other what you love most about each other, and you'll come out with gorgeous elopement photos of it all! And I'll tell you a secret: every single person you see in my photos thought 'I'm not a model', and yet they look AMAZING. It's my job to make you look good, you're just there to be in the moment and have a great time :)
We're camera shy, do you pose us? We don't look like models
