CANMORE QUARRY LAKE ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS

Canmore is the perfect spot to put on your walking shoes, enjoy the fall weather with your pup, and keep yourselves warm in the chilly October air by running around the Quarry resevoir lake. Kara and Tanner were the perfect couple to embrace their Canmore engagement photos and showed up with a sense of adventure, down for anything, and quick to laugh about anything together. 

When you picture the sweetest high school sweethearts, Kara and Tanner should come to mind. Or really, more accurately, when you hear a story about two people who’ve known each other since grade five (yes, grade five!), who FINALLY started dating when they were 18 with a romantic grand gesture, it’s the love story of these two. Now, 9 years later, they’re planning their dream wedding at a mountain chalet deep in the mountains of Golden, BC and felt it was time to document this special time in their relationship with a Canmore engagement session.

Kara and Tanner are big on adventures and spending time in the great outdoors together. We knew this spot at Quarry Lake would be just right: the mountain views, the endless space to explore, the water, and the dog park that allowed them to include their pup Tux made for the perfect place to have fun for an hour before the sun set.

While chatting about your wedding dreams and planning your engagement session, I always like to get a feel of who YOU actually are, both individually and as a couple. It’s so important to connect with each other so I can be sure to capture your moments exactly the way that you like, and so that you can feel comfortable with me behind the camera. Whether that means we’re chatting about past world travels, how the matching shoes you’re both wearing are from a recent trip to Thailand, or getting oh-so excited about the details of your wedding day, I am SO here for it!

For Kara and Tanner, they let me know that they wanted their photos to be fun and sentimental, to show that they love to have fun with each other but also that they are SO in love and obsessed with each other.
