I'm here to tell your story, whatever that may be. Maybe you met as park rangers and want to bring the Jeep you converted to live out of, or a tent to your session. Maybe your first date was at the beach, so we decided to head out to take your photos there. This is about you and your relationship, so it's bound to be exciting!
You'll receive my 20 page Couples Session Guide on everything you can expect, and a customized questionnaire to better get to know each other so I can help plan the perfect experience for you! From there we'll chat location ideas, and then it's time to make some magic!

I'm all about documenting you and your love story exactly as you are. This means allowing you to be yourselves together as if you're on a romantic date night, not getting you to pose in awkward ways to look at my camera. I prioritize a storytelling style in my work, which means I aim to capture your authentic interactions. That said, I know you aren't models! I take on a directing and prompting role to achieve the photos that you're envisioning without faking any moments

In addition to a comprehensive Couples Planning Guide, you'll receive a planning questionnaire that helps decide on location, activities, and more. Your photos are more than a cookie-cutter photoshoot: they're meant to be an experience that you get to enjoy with your partner, that I'll be there to document. Brainstorm your dream date night: then we'll make it happen!
We don't know what we want our photos to look like - how can we plan?

Yup! Your photos deserve to tell the story of your relationship. Whether that's your favourite craft brewery, visiting the Lussier Hot Springs deep in Kananaskis Country, canoeing on Moraine Lake, or enjoying a campfire in Banff. You're welcome to dream up whatever amazing date night you have in mind, and we'll make it happen with photos to remember it all!
Can we do anything special for our photos?

In addition to your 1.5 hour couples session, prior to the session you'll receive my in-depth Couples Session Planning Guide and Questionnaire. After the session you'll receive 48h sneak peeks, and your entire digital gallery within 2 weeks. I prioritize quality over quantity, but you can expect 50- 90 images in your 1 hour couples gallery. Adventure sessions can include closer to 200 images to tell the full story of your session

Of course! In your initial inquiry, please let me know a general location you have in mind, or any ideas you have. This could be as broad as Vancouver Island, or the Rockies, or more specific like Banff National Park. Within all those spots, I know ALL the best places for you to explore. If you don't have anything in specific, just let me know the vibe like 'by the ocean' or 'alpine lake' and I'll send you all my favourite places :)
How do we pick the location? Do you help with that?

Yes, and no. I totally get feeling camera shy - I'm never a fan of having my pictures taken. I absolutely take the lead when it comes to prompting you for your photos, and make sure to always give you direction to look and feel good. That said, my style is very documentary heavy and I focus on authentic moments. This means I'll do more directing like a movie than posing you. I'll have you go on a romantic walk on the beach and tell each other what you love most about each other, and you'll come out with gorgeous couples photos of it all!
